Kim has worked in the social justice and human rights fields in higher management positions and as a freelance organizational advisor for non-profits and international private foundations in Africa, Europe, The Middle East and the United States. When she moved to The Netherlands, she re-connected with her love of dance and began an intensive personal leadership path. Her passion for the workings of the body and mind and how to live well and meaningfully led her to devote more time to supporting individuals in their personal leadership and transformation. As a result, she has become a certified leadership coach and Category 1 (#20191315) mindfulness-based stress reduction trainer. Her methods combine body-centred and cognitive approaches from both Western psychology and Eastern traditions.
She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Smith College (U.S.A) and an M.A in International Relations from Columbia University (U.S.A). In 2014 she earned a degree in Integral Leadership and Coaching from Venwoude, centre for personal and spiritual development based in The Netherlands. She was trained at the Amsterdam-based Centrum voor Mindfulness.
Kim brings a mix of grace and grit to everything she does: presence, curiosity, humour and passion. "Just as life around us is ever changing, so are we. One of the most valuable skills we can develop in life is to learn to navigate change and the unexpected -- inside and outside of us -- in a healthier way.. Learning to dance rather than wrestle with the twist and turn of life."
